True education allows a child to find his/her own pace of learning. The curriculum at SRSM at each level conforms its judicious testing as per the norms set by CBSE and prepares students to face intimidating challenges in life. Tests and exams are an integral part of any education system. However, at SRSM, we have endeavoured to make them stress free. Class tests, Unit tests, mental ability tests and spell checks are some of our testing tools, are conducted periodically based on small sections of the curriculum so that all students get an opportunity to perform at various levels and can mark their scholastic growth. Regular Parent teaching meetings are arranged to share feedback and improvement areas with parents to ensure meaningful contribution.

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)

Examination and its evaluation is an integral part of the educational process as some form of assessment is necessary to determine the effectiveness of teaching learning processes and their internalization by learnedness. The latest examination and evaluation reform introduced by CBSE is Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) that incorporates both scholastic and non-scholastic aspects of evaluation spread over the total span of instructional time. It aims at the holistic development of learners by their assessment of board based learning and behavioural outcomes.

The term “Continuous” is meant to emphasize the evaluation of identified aspects of students on a regular basis.

“Growth and Development” is a continuous process rather than an event. The second term “Comprehensive” comprises the abilities, attitudes and aptitudes of the learners manifested in forms other than written words. Hence, as per CBSE norms, SRSM will continue with the same in the new academic session.

Continuous Comprehensive
Growth Development Co-scholastic aspects include life skills, co-curricular activities, attitudes & values Scholastic aspects include curricular areas or subject specific areas

CCE in the class Pre-School to Class V shall spread over three times during one academic session.

A. Scheme of Assessment - Pre-School to V Class

  • The teacher will evaluate the student through Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). The testing can be done simultaneously while teaching or separately.
  • There is no fixed schedule for examination. Assessment will be on an everyday basis.

  • One cycle of CCE means that each student is tested in all competencies.
